MWANAMFALME Philip ambaye pia ni mume wa Malkia Elizabeth II amefariki dunia akiwa na umri wa miaka 99.

Kwa mujibu wa taarifa iliyotolewa na kasri ya Buckingham kwa niaba ya Malkia imeelezwa kuwa, "Kwa masikitiko Malkia anatangaza kifo cha mumewe kipenzi, Mwanamfalme Philip mtawala wa Edinburgh aliyefariki dunia kwa amani leo asubuhi Katika kasri ya Windsor Castle."

Mwanamfalme Philip alimuoa binti mfalme Elizabeth mwaka 1947 kabla ya kuwa Malkia miaka mitano baadaye na kuwa Malkia aliyehudumu kwa muda mrefu zaidi nchini Uingereza.

Mwanamfalme Philip alipata heshima kutoka kwa watu wengi kutokana na kujitolea na kumuunga mkono mkewe Malkia Elizabeth II katika kazi zake, na malkia alipenda kumwelezea mumewe kwa maneno mawili ya 'Strength and Stay.'

Viongozi mbalimbali wametuma salamu za rambirambi kwa familia huku Waziri mkuu wa Taifa hilo Boris Johson akimwelezea Mwanamfalme Philip kuwa ni jasiri aliyeongoza familia ya kifalme na ufalme kwa upendo wa hali ya juu.
