Carlos Mayorga alitumia njia hiyo kuonesha hali halisi ya taifa hilo ambalo mamia ya watu wanakufa kutokana na virusi vya Corona pamoja na vurugu zinazohusiana na biashara.

Akiwa mgombea kutoka chama cha Encuentro Salidario kusini mwa jimbo la Chihuahua Mayorga alisema, alifikia uamuzi huo kwa malengo ya kufikisha ujumbe kwa wanasiasa ambao wanasababisha watu kupoteza maisha kutokana na kutojali kwao.

Mwanasiasa huyo aliwasili katika kampeni zake katika daraja linalotengenesha mji wa wa Ciudad Juarezy na El Paso Texas akiwa ndani ya jeneza la rangi ya fedha.

Carlos Mayorga aliambatana na wasaidizi waliovaa mavazi na vifaa vya kujilinda wakiwa na mashada ya maua kama ishara ya kupaza sauti juu ya janga hilo ambapo hadi sasa watu 200,000 wamefariki nchini humo kutokana na Covid-19.

Vyombo vya habari vilimnukuu mwanasiasa huyo akisema;

"Wanasiasa wameendelea kukaa kimya wakati matukio ya uhalifu yakiendelea, na wameendelea kukaa kimya kuhusu hali mbaya ya Covid-19." Alinukuliwa.

Zaidi ya watu 300,000 wameuawa nchini Mexico tangu Serikali itoe nguvu kwa jeshi katika kupambana na vita dhidi ya dawa za kulevya 2006 kwa mujibu kwa taarifa rasmi.
